As we continue our entrance into the Season of Advent this year we know that we are not alone. We walk this pilgrim road together as a family, holding on to hope. This year has been a challenge for all of us, but some have undoubtedly suffered and struggled more than others. Just last week the Baltimore Sun published an article about the community, our brothers and sisters, at Sagrado Corazon (Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish) on the east side of town. Since April, they have lost over 30 loved ones to the Coronavirus. Many more have been impacted by the loss of employment or other resources.
Our Advent Giving Tree program this year will be dedicated to our brothers and sisters at Sagrado Corazon. They are in need of non-perishable food items as well as an assortment of blankets and cold weather clothing. The online signup page contains additional instructions. Please consider supporting our brothers and sisters who are in need this Advent Season. Donations can be left by the Christmas Trees in the back of church or delivered to our parish office on West Street. Please have your donations delivered by January 3rd.
