Catholic Community of South Baltimore invites all young adults to participate in our first Kairos Retreat!
Kairos is a popular retreat program in Catholic High Schools and Universities that is meant to give retreatants an introduction to Ignatian Spirituality. Kairos is a Greek word that means "God's Time." By taking time away from our usual busy lives, or "chronos" time, we can start to see how God is at word in His own time: Kairos Time. During our weekend, we will hear talks from different young adults about Who am I, Prayer, Friendship with God, Discernment, and more! We will spend time in small groups, have opportunities for quiet reflection as well as communal prayer, and lots of fun and laughs too!
Our retreat will be led by Mark Dushel, the Assistant Director of Faith Formation at Loyola University, and parishioner at CCSB. Mark has directed over 30 Kairos retreats for all age groups throughout his career as a Campus Minister. We also have a dedicated team of retreat leaders that will help give talks, lead small groups, and other activities.
Dates: January 10-12, 2025 Beginning at 7pm on 1/10 and ending at 5pm on 1/12 (we will attend the 5pm mass at Holy Cross together at the conclusion of the retreat, with a Happy Hour afterwards!)
Location: Holy Cross Retreat Center (retreatants have the option of staying overnight at the retreat center or heading home at the end of each day and joining us the next day)
Cost: $50 to cover cost of food and retreat center (Please venmo CCSB Venmo @CCSB9. Please make sure you write in that this is for the retreat. If cost is an issue, please let us know! We don't want cost to be a hindrance for anyone that wants to attend!)
